How long does it take for my display case to get built?
We have orders ready for collection within 7 to 10 days depending on backlogs. But if you have urgent deadlines please let us know.
Do you build custom / bespoke designs or products to specific dimensions?
Yes. Everything we build is to client’s specific dimensions and specs.
Do you use different colours and thickness of Plexiglas?
Yes. We us the full range of available colours and thicknesses of sheets.
What is the difference between Perspex vs Plexiglas vs Acrylic?
These are both acrylic sheets. Perspex and Plexiglas are exactly the same products under different Trade Marks. In South Africa we tend to use Plexiglas.
Is Perspex water and heat proof?
Plexiglas is not porous – it is water resistant – but it is not heat proof. Acrylic sheets do expand and warp warm conditions. We do not recommend Perspex when heating mats are needed for creature enclosures.
Do you supply full sheets?
No. We are fabricators and do not sell flat sheets.
Do you do laser cutting?
Yes. We do offer laser cutting services.
What is the difference between glass and Plexiglas?
Glass is a very rigid and fragile product. Plexiglas is flexible and a little less fragile. Glass usually needs a wood or aluminium framework because it is difficult to bond. Plexiglas can be solvent welded to provide frameless structures.
